There was so much to love about this book. It balances light and heavy moments so well, and it gives each character the chance to share their story. I loved catching glimpses of the summer of ‘77 and how it shaped these women who we see twenty years later in the summer of ‘97. Hauck does a phenomenal job weaving in themes such as forgiveness, redemption, and identity through four characters whose personalities are vastly different. I was invested in each one of them and their growth and friendship. Best of all, for this romance-loving heart, there was a small serving of falling-in-love on these pages too. A wonderful read for those lazy days of summer.

Cookie Pairing: Moonpies:)

Not only were these cookies a big hit back in the 70s, but they make an appearance at the start of the book which made me hungry for them! They are the perfect pairing while reading a few (or several) pages.
